  • Prior to installing modules please obtain information about any requirements and necessary approvals for the site, installation and inspection from the relevant authorities.

    Microinverter System Installation

    A PV system using Microinverters is simple to install. Each Microinverter easily mounts on the PV racking, directly beneath the PV module(s). Low voltage DC wires connect from the PV module directly to the Microinverter, eliminating the risk of high DC voltage.Installation MUST comply with local regulations and technical rules. Special Statement! An AC GFCI device should not be used to protect the dedicated circuit to the microinverter even though it is an outside circuit. None of the small GFCI devices (5~30mA) are designed for back feeding and will be damaged if back feed. In a similar manner, AC AFCIs have not been evaluated for back feeding and may be damaged if back feed with the output of a PV inverter. WARNING: Perform all electrical installations in accordance with local electrical codes. WARNING: Be aware that only qualified professionals should install and/or replace Microinverters.

    WARNING: Before installing or using an Microinverter,please read all instructions and warnings in the technical documents and on the Microinverter system itself as well as on the PV array. WARNING: Be aware that installation of this equipment includes the risk of electric shock. Additional Installation components · AC Male and Female Interconnection Connectors (sold separately)

    · Sealing end caps(sold separately) NOTE: Strongly recommend to install Surge protection Devices in the dedicated meter box. Required Parts and Tools from you In addition to your PV array and its associated hardware, you will need the following items: · An AC connection junction box · Mounting hardware suitable for module racking · Sockets and wrenches for mounting hardware

    · Continuous grounding conductor and grounding washers · A Phillips screwdriver · A torque wrench

    WARNING: Wiring colour code can be different according local regulation,check all the wires of the installation before connecting to the AC cable to be sure they match. Wrong cabling can damage irreparably the microinverters,such an issue is not covered by the warranty.

     Mark the location of the Microinverter on the rack, with respect to the PV module junction box or any other obstructions. b. Mount one Microinverter at each of these locations using hardware recommended by your module racking vendo

    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

    WARNING: This chapter contains important safety and operating instructions. Read and keep this manual for future reference.

    1. Before using the unit, read all instructions and cautionary markings on the unit, the batteries and all appropriate sections of this manual.

    2. CAUTION --To reduce risk of injury, charge only deep-cycle lead acid type rechargeable batteries. Other types of batteries may burst, causing personal injury and damage.

    3. Do not disassemble the unit. Take it to a qualified service center when service or repair is required. Incorrect re-assembly may result in a risk of electric shock or fire.

    4. To reduce risk of electric shock, disconnect all wirings before attempting any maintenance or cleaning. Turning off the unit will not reduce this risk.

    5. CAUTION – Only qualified personnel can install this device with battery. 6. NEVER charge a frozen battery.

    7. For optimum operation of this inverter/charger, please follow required spec to select appropriate cable size. It’s very important to correctly operate this inverter/charger.

    8. Be very cautious when working with metal tools on or around batteries. A potential risk exists to drop a tool to spark or short circuit batteries or other electrical parts and could cause an explosion.

    9. Please strictly follow installation procedure when you want to disconnect AC or DC terminals. Please refer to INSTALLATION section of this manual for the details.

    10. Fuses (3 pieces of 40A, 32VDC for 1KVA, 4 pieces of 40A, 32VDC for 2KVA and 6 pieces for 3KVA, 1piece of 200A, 58VDC for 4KVA and 5KVA) are provided as over-current protection for the battery supply.

    11. GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS -This inverter/charger should be connected to a permanent grounded wiring system. Be sure to comply with local requirements and regulation to install this inverter. 

    12. NEVER cause AC output and DC input short circuited. Do NOT connect to the mains when DC input short circuits.

    13. Warning!! Only qualified service persons are able to service this device. If errors still persist after following troubleshooting table, please send this inverter/charger back to local dealer or service center for maintenance. Maximum Panel Connection Type, Number Of module

    · CS-series solar modules have been qualified for Application Class A (equivalent to Safety Class II requirements). Modules rated under this class should be used in systems operating at voltage above 50 V or power above 240 W, where general contact access is anticipated.

    · Atakale Solar Inc. modules have been certified  as Type 1 or Type 4 according to UL 1703 andClass C according to IEC 61730-2, please refer to the datasheet or the product nameplate for the detailed types.

    · Consult your local authority for guidelines and requirements for building or structural fire safety When installing modules, ensure the supporting roof has a fire resistant roof covering rated for the application. · The fire rating for this module is only valid when the product is installed as specified in the mechanical mounting instructio

    The module is intended for use in general open-air climates, as defined in IEC 60721-2-1: Classification of environmental conditions Part-2-1: Environmental conditions appearing in nature - Temperature and humidity.

    · Please consult the atakale Solar Inc. technical  support department for more information on the  use of modules in special climates, , such as an altitude greater than 2000 m.

    Exposing modules to salt (i.e. marine environments) or sulfur (i.e. sulfur sources, volcanoes) incurs the risk of module corrosion. · Do not expose modules and their   onnectors to any unauthorized chemical substances (e.g. oil, lubricant, pesticide, etc.), as modules may incur damages.

    · Failure to comply with these instructions will void atakale Solar Inc. limited warranty

    Basic System Architecture 

    The following illustration shows basic application for this inverter/charger. It also includes following devices to have a complete running system:

    Consult with your system integrator for other possible system architectures depending on your requirements. This inverter can power all kinds of appliances in home or office environment, including motor-type appliances such as tube light, fan, refrigerator and air conditioner.

    CAUTION!! Before connecting to AC input power source, please install a separate AC breaker between inverter and AC input power source. This will ensure the inverter can be securely disconnected during maintenance and fully protected from over current of AC input. The recommended spec of AC breaker is 10A for 1KVA, 20A for 2KVA, 32A for 3KVA, 40A for 4KVA and 50A for 5KVA.
    CAUTION!! There are two terminal blocks with “IN” and “OUT” markings. Please do NOT mis-connect input and output connectors. WARNING! All wiring must be performed by a qualified personnel. WARNING! It’s very important for system safety and efficient operation to use appropriate cable for AC input connection.
